On behalf of the entire Softball Nova Scotia Executive I would like to welcome you to the 2017 Softball season! I wish to extend my sincere appreciation & gratitude to the membership across Nova Scotia for your continued support & passion that each of you bring to the game of Softball.
We are very excited about some of the many new initiatives which are taking place, not only in our sport, but throughout amateur sport in the province. Specifically for Softball Nova Scotia, our brand new Goalline website will officially go live on April 24th, 2017. I am sure that you will like the new look and know that we are open to your suggestions as to how to make that an even better tool for you to use! Our THANKS go out to Andy George for his work in making this new site a reality! Be sure to also follow us on Facebook & Twitter to help keep up to date with happenings from across the Province.
Throughout Nova Scotia, we are seeing several long standing associations who have been dormant for many years once again registering players & organizing games for youth in their area. This summer in Winnipeg, we will see the men’s game (in addition to the women’s game) reintroduced at the Canada Summer Games. Locally, fans will get the opportunity to see the best in Senior Men’s Fastpitch as the East Hants Mastodons will play host to the best players in Canada as they host the 2018 Senior Men’s Nationals in St Croix. It is the hope across the country that this will be the beginning of a new era in Canada Fastpitch!
Our board and staff continue working hard to improve delivery of services and to be available to the membership. I encourage all of you to take advantage of the tools available to communicate with us and provide us with any feedback you feel would improve Softball in Nova Scotia. It will only be through effective, respectful & open communication that we can strive to meet our members with their needs.
Yours in Softball,
Richie Connors
